The site was originally conceived for promoting a public appeal for donations towards the purchase of the forest. This was successfully achieved in June 2011. The pages here are now intended to give a flavour of the forest, details about the landowning-organisation behind the forest and to keep people up to date with evolving plans and ongoing forest operations.
